Rolled Erosion Control Products
Rolled Erosion Control Products (RECP’s) are the technical name for what industry folks often call erosion control blankets. They limit erosion, protect seedlings from heavy rainfall and hold moisture for germination. RECP’s have evolved over the years to become more than just seed starters, but highly effective erosion control methods. There are many different type of RECP’s use for projects, based on functional longevity, shear stress, slope gradient and other factors.
For applications where vegetation will solve the issue of erosion, a Temporary RECP is best. Temporary Rolled Erosion Control Products provide protection so vegetation can effectively germinate and begin stable growth into maturity.
When vegetation by itself is not enough for stabilization long-term, Permanent RECP’s are best. Permanent erosion control products have the performance efficacy to effectively control erosion and reinforce vegetation on sites where long-term erosion control and vegetation is a must.
