A City of Chesapeake project that had issues including tree roots being exposed and falling down into the channel.   The project included reshaping the ditch to 2:1 slope and bringing in 25 tons of fill dirt for the channel. The installation took place on March 3rd, 2017 and it required 3,600 sq/ft of Flexamat for the channel.  Flexamat was installed in under five hours by Landwerks Contracting.  This was Landwerks first time installing Flexamat.

 

Solutions Used

Rip/Rap Replacement: A total of 3,600 sq/ft of Flexamat was used for this job.  16ft x30ft rolls of Flexamat were used in the middle of the channel and 8ft x30ft rolls were used on the side slopes going into the channel.
